Week 8 Review - I did it all with the rookies

Well folks week 8 is in the books and with it definitive proof that all of my match-ups are won on Thursday night. This week I can't wait to start (checks schedule) Tevin Coleman against the Cardinals. Ouch, sorry Raeanne looks like I'm winning 2 in a row. Anyway this article is about week 8 so let's get back to Sunday. The Falcons actually managed to show up in their loss to Seattle, New Orleans and The Rams did cruise past their opposition quite comfortably. The 49ers destroyed Carolina and on current form are this years favourites to blow it against New England at the start of February. In the late window the Chiefs lost again as an Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay went up 2 scores in the first quarter. Kansas need Mahomes back quickly before the wheels come right off their season. On Monday night the Dolphins also jumped out to a 2 TD lead before remembering the seasons objective and allowing the Steelers to take the W come full time. In this weeks Cadle Bowl action, Mason

Week 8 - I promise to set my line ups

So we reach the half-way point of the NFL season and with it brings the knowledge that it's now closer to Christmas than it is to the last time I had any excitement about my team. In a little over 6 weeks time our regular season will be over and most of us can forget about fantasy football till the end of next summer, apart from Smithy who will still be crushing teams underneath his 86 points a week juggernaut all the way to the championship. As the title of this weeks post says I promise I will try to attempt to find the time to think about considering looking into if my team needs any line up changes and then checking my schedule to see if I can find some time to enact those changes and field a legal formation from now on. The second half of the season got underway last night with the Washington ethnic minorities travelling to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota white settlers and as the more accurate than their real names names suggest it didn't go well. The 1-7 Skins (I c

Week 7 Review - Out with a whimper

So I watched the first episode of Watchmen last night and I can't decide if it's going to be any good or utter crap, going to give it till next week to decide. One question though, why is Dr Manhattan still on Mars building sandcastles? Surely if he's essentially a god he might be a bit more interested in seeing more than the intergalactic equivalent of next door. Fucker hasn't even checked out Olympus Mons, goddamn biggest volcano in the solar system, lazy little shit with his bullshit T-shirt. Oh and in this analogy the moon is the shed. Anyway I've been back from my holiday to Croatia for a while now but couldn't really be bothered writing about my dogshit team. I still can't be bothered so I'm not entirely sure where this article is going, oh and electric bicycles are great fun. Top 5 activity recommend. I suppose at this point I should mention some of the action from week 7 in the NFL so here goes, it rained heavily in Americas capital as the Wash

Week 6 - Save me Julio

I saw a Bull on the way home from work today, it was standing in the middle of the road and it was fucking huge, I thought it was a horse at first. Luckily it was on the other side of the road cause if it was on my side it would have probably done to me and my car what my team have done to my fantasy season, thrown us around like Tyreek Hill playing with his kids. For those of you paying attention I'm off on holiday tomorrow so I'm getting this up early. I'm off to Split for those of you that are interested (luckily none of you know where I live so I don't have to worry about you coming round and stealing my stuff). Unfortunately I get back on Sunday in plenty of time to watch the last shovel full of dirt get tossed on my grave. As mentioned in this mornings blog (not that any of you read it unless I tell you to) it's do or die time for 4 teams in the league. 4 of us are sitting at 1-4 and in a cruel twist of fate we are playing for our seasons each facing off aga

Week 5 Review - Can I borrow a Touchdown?

Week 5 is in the books and with it a good chance that the play off spots have been wrapped up already. In a brutal campaign 4 teams are currently sitting 1-4 and all but eliminated. For any of these teams to win the 'ship now you have to suspect only an unbeaten run until Christmas would do. Raeanne currently occupies the bottom berth of the play off spots with a 2-3 record. Luckily for Raeanne this week the bottom 4 are each taking on one of the top 4 in 4 do or die match ups for the also ran teams. This is apparently officially the biggest scoring week ever in fantasy with a record number of players going off for over 40 points, including Will Fuller on waivers. Which I think means I would have lost to free agency this week (wow, that's embarrassing). In the Cadle Bowl Raeanne was the latest team to be eviscerated by Chris, a fate awaiting me this week. Raeanne seems determined to zig when she should be zagging with her quarterbacks and for the second week in a row made the

Week 5 - The half vegan write up

Ladies, Gentlemen and Ryan welcome to week 5. This weekend I am super busy, going for a meal tonight, then we're off to world of birds in Cumbernauld tomorrow. If world of birds is anything more than a handful of pigeons sitting on a tramp and Seagulls trying to steal chips from Pamela's niece I'm going to be extremely disappointed. Can't even take cans cause I need to drive. Elsewhere we're all starting to wonder if Officer Lewis has done a days work yet or if he's still getting diversity training. Ryan is figuratively running around Twitter telling everyone that a half vegan, half meat burger in a green bun isn't one of the worlds dumbest ideas cause it tastes good apparently (unlike any beers brewlol have made recently). Stew as per normal has overextended himself and signed up to 5 fantasy leagues, now we're all sitting here hoping that one week he will be playing the exact opposite teams in two of his leagues (most worryingly he recently admitted t

Week 4 Review - The Poop Report

Today is the first of October and as such there is a chill in the air and a whiff of hot trash emanating from the bottom of the table. Things are starting to separate out now and those of us at the bottom are starting to get desperate for some wins. Is now the time for action? Do any of the strugglers have the guts and ambition to pull off a bold trade and redefine their season or are we ready to write the year off as a lost cause already? This week was a bit of a nightmare, particularly for myself, lots of players you would expect to score big didn't, here are a few examples Tom Brady, Mr Terrific stank in the Patriots win against the Bills, registering possibly one of the seasons lowest QB scores for a starter. Julio Jones, The Falcons were playing at home in their dome, Matt Ryan loves playing at home in his dome, the Falcons were down the whole game, Matt Ryan failed to get Julio going. OBJ, the Ravens become the first D to not consistently collapse the pocket on Mayfield t
